Lapham in Harper's

Oh (insert hyperbolae)! - I just read Lapham's critique of Uncle Sam in the magazine's regular NOTEBOOK section. [edit: here's a permalink:] It's a powerful article regarding the state of the nation. A resounding and forceful critique of the Bush Administration and US Foreign Policy (over the past 100 or so years) generally, it is well worth a read. Lapham provides a sensible and clear analysis of Bush Admin. Malfeasance, and Congressional Nonfeasance.
